Happy Birthday to me!

My birthday was 7-11!  I love that it falls exactly one week after the 4th of July holiday! 

I am a year older wiser.  I don't, however, feel much different than I did "last year". 

The day before my birthday, we had my family over at our place for our monthly get-together.  I called it "Salad Sunday / Birthday Party," and everyone brought a different type of salad to enjoy.  More on this party in another post ....

John's mom held a birthday party for me on July 17, complete with a chocolate ice cream cake!  There was a little giraffe topper on it that I kept too!  John's mom gave me a pink stone bracelet with a bow charm.  His sisters gave me a Faith in Every Footstep keychain. 

The next Sunday, John's dad and Lori held a party for both John and me.  John got a nice, long, pair of shorts and a box of Mike Ike candy.  I got a black/gray shirt and a package of 100 Grand mini candy bars.  John's sister Rebekah gave me a small votive candle in a flower-shaped candle holder.  She gave John a CTR paper she colored herself, and on it she wrote "I love you".  :-)

It's been an awesome month of July!
